Art Director, filmskaber, fotograf, tekstforfatter, konceptudvikler, opfinder og IT-udvikler Elizabeth Thomsen blev uddannet i den danske og engelske film- og TV-branche, fra script girl til producer (DR, Nordisk Film, Thames TV, LWT, C4, Transworld Int., Pinewood Studios). Elizabeth var på studierejse til Paris, hvor hun viste sin prisvindende film, "The Umbrella", og studerede hos Gaumont og andre mindre selskaber. Fra 1996 studerede hun i 2 år ved DTU (Human Factors in Telecommunication and IT Technologies).

Film- og skulpturinstallation udstillet i 1997 på Charlottenborg Kunstmuseum og Århus Kunstmuseum med kunster Kirsten Dufour. Til disse udstillinger opfandt Elizabeth Praxinoscopet": en meget simpel 35mm film projektor.
