I do not have any experience with outsourcing, and to be honest I would really like to sit down with the programmer and explain my plans and designs with them, and I am just not sure that it would be just as easy and convenient to do that via outsourcing... what are your experiences with that?

I do it daily :)
However, if you are not much of an IT person (don't have a gmail account)
and cant work out how to use jing It could be more trouble than its worth for you and the programmer.
My first client was like this....
and i feel so bad about not being able to do my 150% best because i couldnt get the info i needed...
I offered 20hrs free tech service for free, but still feel sad about it.
(they are happy though)
If you know your way around IT and have gmail, skype and can use Jing, then your right, and it may save you 1000's of DKK
I have lots of IT experience so using those basic tools you talk about is no problem.
My concern is more about being able to communicate and work together on a project, and not waisting alot of time and money because we are not able to get our message through...
I know a lot of people in the Internet industry who use outsourcing with success, so I do not think that it cannot work for us... I just need find out who can do the job in a way that I feel is safe for my project and with as few obstacles as possible.... I hope you understand.
