We are renting our house and on the same electric meter we have some neighbours. They have their own meter and sending us the numbers. For the past year the bills skyrocketed but we never used more electricity than before, but they had AC in summer and electric heaters in winter, but they meter was never showing that consumption. We've ended paying thousands of koronas. In August we've installed a meter to see if the numbers add up with their meter. And obviously it's a difference but they deny stealing electricity. Our landlord has bought an electrician who's friend with him and the alleged thieves and saying they are not stealing from us, it's simply an error. Now that the neighbours found out that we've installed a meter say this caused a very expensive machine to break out because we've cut power. Not only he doesn't want to pay the money he owns us, now he demands a huge amount of money to compensate for the broken machine. We can't afford a lawyer so that why I'm asking for your advice here.
