I am just wondering if there are any special rules that I have to abide by when I am writing my product descriptions/copy for my Økologisk hudpleje produkter blog/webshop :-)

Is it ok to just copy what My suppliers use in Australia?

That depends on what your provider is writing about the products :).

It is not legal to claim that the products have a special medical benifit for example.

Hi Philip

I suggest that you check the following three webpages:

http://www.okologi.dk/baeredygtigt-forbrug/inspiration-om-oekologi/oekologisk-hudpleje.aspx

At the bottom of this particular page you can find some links to information in English.

Further, you could take a look at http://www.mst.dk/English/, which is the Danish Ministry of Environment's homepage

Finally, check https://www.retsinformation.dk/Forms/R0710.aspx?id=12643#K1. Unfortunately it is only in Danish. This is the Executive Order on Cosmetic Products which applies to products that are sold in Denmark.

I hope these pages will be useful to you.

By the way, I've had a look at your webpage and - just to prevent you from making false advertising - I can tell you that you are not the first and only Danish webshop offering these products. Perhaps the only one offering Australian products. I myself am producing and selling products like this from my own webshop Smile

One of the largest businesses in our line of business is www.mellisa.dk and www.urtegaarden.dk. So, actually we have numerous competitors.

Hi Anne-Grete,

Thankyou for the links to those pages,I really appreciate it.

I can also read danish perfectly :-)

I am sorry to say this but I feel VERY strongly about Økologisk certified products and companies saying they dont have anything dangerous in them,or that they are Natural.

My products are actually the First certified organic full range of skincare, makeup, and household products in the World. If you used our products you would also say the were the best.

And your products are not Like ours at all... sorry

Also All of our products are either certified organic Or Biological.

We do not use dangerous chemicals/synthetically produced ingredients and

None of our ingredient are tested on animals at all.

I noticed that your products Are not similar to mine because

Kurcreme - 7 dages kur - 15 ml
Ansigtscreme med antirynkeeffekt -15 ml. Indeholder AHA frugtsyrer og æterisk grapeolie. Må kun bruges i syv dage ad gangen. Hold pause efter hver 7-dages kur.

INCI: Aqua, Prunus Dulci, Sodium Stearoyl/Lactylate, Glyceryl/Stearate, Glycerine, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Solanum Lycopersicum, Lactic Acid,  Tocopherol, Citrus x paradisi, Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin, Limonene, Linalol

Has Propylene Glycol - which is the green chemical used in Radiators.

http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ingredient/705315/PROPYLENE_GLYCOL/

If you want to learn more about these dangerous chemical companies are putting in our products that  we even put on our childrens and babies skin follow me at my blog.

Do you know that in cosmetics there is allowed to be a higher concentration of propylene glycol than in industrial usage?

It is so strong a chemical that it can kill the barnacles on the bottoms of boats. The safety data sheet for Propylene Glycol says, “Avoids contact with skin and eyes” When propylene glycol was given at 30 percent in the diet, it affected reproduction rates in rats.

Thanks for sharing this information with me.

Actually the propylene glycol is part of this product:

http://www.urtegaarden.dk/Default.aspx?ID=2326&ProductID=PROD1142 which is part of my product. I'm not sure whether they are aware at Urtegården, that one of the ingredients is so problematic.

Good luck with your webpage and blog!
