Should I offer an affiliate partner option?

Hello   friends,

I've been thinking lately about offering an affiliate option to clients, and other people that know me or know of my business so they could recommend  my business and maybe earn a percentage of the invoice.

What do you think you think this is a good idea is a bad  idea?
