How do you find the right online tools for your business?

Hi all,

Using the right tools (project mgt., marketing etc) is crucial for building, running and improving a small business. But finding the most appropriate tools seems to require lots of time researching and testing. What do you consider the most annoying and frustrating issues in the selection process and how do you overcome these struggles?
