A new and interesting business opportunity has arisen in Denmark because of a new law appertaining specifically to vegetable oil, a widely used food commodity / product in the food industry.

In brief:- Any food establishment using over 100 kg of oil per week, must establish a system for collection and proper disposal. (for example institutions-and hospital kitchens, hotel kitchens and restaurants, ferries, aeroplanes, canteens, barracks and catering companies)

Vegetable oil is used in large quantities to deep fry food, or as an ingredient. In addition oil is basic food product used in most private homes.

According to Danish statistics, Denmark has a population of 5,364.800. On average each private person spends 41,6 kroner each year on vegetable oil, which makes the total private market value worth 240 million kroner.

In addition Danish statistics have provided figures relating to the import of vegetable oil for use in industrial or commercial applications. The largest supplier of oil is Holland, with 3,567.561 liters per year; the smallest is Turkey with 23,257 liters. Imports of oil total 10,479,934 liters per annum or 10,500 tons.

These figures do not include olive or virgin olive oil.

Currently no Danish company offers a service with a comprehensive solution to this problem.

One company already exists in the EU, that has developed a very successful business in this specific area. I have approached this company and they have provided me with professional know how, expertise and valuable information with regards to establishing and running this business.

I have already secured European suppliers of suitable high quality oils of European standard. None of these producers currently export to Denmark and have therefore an interest in developing the market in Scandinavia.

This business can be easily adapted in Denmark. Initially concentrating on Copenhagen and the surrounding areas of Sjaelland. Potential expansion possibilities initially to Fyn and Jutland, but later to expand into Sweden, Norway and Finland. (perhaps on a franchise basis)

In addition, the proposed business is based on selling and delivering fresh oil, collecting waste oil and recycling this waste oil for sale to a power utility as a renewable low carbon fuel.

I have developed a comprehensive business plan, budget and cash flow forecast and established a suitable company name.

I am educated in the food industry, where I achieved 5 higher national diplomas. (Business organisation, Principles of management, Food technology, Marketing and distribution, Food manufacture and retail shop operation, all passed with distinction). Additionally I am a member of the Royal Society of Food, Health and Hygiene.

I am looking for a private financial investor who has 500k Dkr,- to invest in return for 35% of the shares in the company. Calculated return on investment max 1 year.
